Office Updates Relating to COVID-19

New Changes in Response to Governor Whitmer’s

 “Stay-at-home” Executive Order on 3/23/20

To our patients and their families:

In response to Governor Whitmer’s “Stay-at-home” Executive Order on 3/23/20, we are now cancelling all patients through and including April 13, 2020.

Of course, any patient who is in pain and requires immediate attention will be seen, as always. At this point we are making patients comfortable and not repairing loose braces or appliances, as the use of a hand-piece is prohibited. We want to minimize interpersonal contact during this time when the virus is highly contagious.

Because we care greatly about you and your treatment, the doctors are currently reviewing all charts of the patients who have had appointments cancelled. Some patients may be contacted if we need to check the wear of your elastics. If you have questions about your treatment or you need additional supplies, feel free to contact the office as we have someone monitoring messages.

Our medical colleagues have strongly recommended that we not begin to reschedule patients until the course of the coronavirus COVID-19 is understood.  Once we know we can reopen, we will contact you to reschedule patients in the order in which they were canceled, beginning with those having their appointments canceled on March 16th.

Our hearts go out to you and your family during this strange time.  We hope you are staying well.  We encourage anyone who is ill, or who becomes sick, to stay at home.  If someone in your family is sick, please all stay home.  Consistent use of other precautions to minimize the spread of the virus is of utmost importance.

Our doctors and team members will be monitoring this ongoing situation and will be making changes to our protocols as appropriate.  Our aim is to return to “business as usual” as soon as possible and know that our patients are our first priority.  If you have any questions or concerns, please call our office.
